Hi, I was wondering is it possible to sail from Split to Dubrovnik and back in 7 days? Thanks, Bob

It is not impossible, but it would definitely be in a hurry. It all depends on what you want to get out of your charter vacation. If you have no option for embarking other than Split and you really wish to see Dubrovnik, than I can give you my suggestions on how to do it, but I certainly recommend one-way charter if possible. So, after check-in in the marina, which will probably be Saturday afternoon, you should find a convenient and close place to spend the night. Choose between staying in the marina or sailing to the nearby island of Solta where you can anchor in some quiet bay. The next morning continue towards south with a stop made in Korcula for an overnight stay. In the morning after the breakfast and a little swim it is best to head out to Dubrovnik. It will take you approximately two days to reach Dubrovnik sailing, but it will all depend on weather conditions. So when you calculate the time to return the yacht it takes you 4 day sailing to and from Dubrovnik, which leaves you with 3 days to explore Dubrovnik and its surrounding's. Naturally you can choose to have only two days in Dubrovnik and spend one additional day on any island along the way (Hvar, Mljet, Korcula...) As I said it's all about what you want to get out of your charter vacation. If visiting Dubrovnik is your main goal then why not start charter from there and explore its archipelago in the next 7 days, it is certainly worth it. Or at least, as I said before, try to arrange a one-way charter from Split to Dubrovnik which will make your sailing much more fun and relaxed and give you the opportunity of discovering a few more islands along the way.

Three of us are visiting Croatia in late July 2009 and would like to sail from Split to Dubrovnik, but only have 3-4 days. Could you recommend someone who does the tours.

The only solution for you to sail from Split to Dubrovnik in 3-4 days would be one way charter of course. This means that you would charter a skippered yacht in Split and disembark in Dubrovnik. It would give you a complete freedom to choose where to go and what to see along the way. Among the agencies offering one way charters, Croatia Yachting (http://www.croatia-yachting.hr) offers these one way charters and http://www.Sunsail.eu, Adriatic Yacht Charter (http://www.ayc.hr) are always good agencies to check out.

If you would like more on the budget solution, than you should consider cabin chartering, but in this case the tour would last 7 days and I don't know are your plans fix. There are some agencies offering individual cabin charter on traditional wooden sailing ships in Croatia. If this would be a good solution for you, than you should definitely check http://www.islandhopping.com.

Shopping online at www.jamyachtsupply.com is a new convenient service we provide. The process is simple and fast, you start by browsing the selection of products in our data base, once you select the items you wish to purchase you add them to the shopping cart –and once you have everything you need, you can proceed to make the payment and your shopping is done.

Shopping online with us is a lot like shopping at a retail store you browse our catalog of products for the items you would like, put them in a shopping basket, and complete your purchase at the check-out area. The only difference is, we're open 24 hours a day - seven days a week,...and you don't have to put on shoes and leave the comfort of your home to shop!
So read on and find out how you can enjoy the shopping experience with Our Online Store.
Step 1. Make Your Product Selections
The first thing to do is browse our shop for the items you'd like. As you browse you'll see 'Add/Buy' link.Once you've found the first product you'd like, simply add it to your online shopping basket by clicking on the 'Add/Buy' link.
Just like in a retail store, the shopping basket is a holding place for your items until you are ready to purchase them. You can view the contents of your basket at any time by clicking on the 'View Basket' link on your shopping page. And, just like a retail store, you can always remove items from your basket and put them back on the shelves.
Step 2.Proceed to the Check Out
Once you've decided upon your selection and checked your basket, you proceed to the Ordering Stage by clicking "Check Out". At this point you must decide whether you want to register with us or just place your order without registration. Registration means that you don't need to complete your details again if you order from us in the future. Step 3.Submit your Order
At this point you must decide upon the payment method. You can pay online by entering your credit card information.Alternatively you can print out the form and fax it to us, or you can submit the form without credit card details and call us later with this information.
We appreciate that ordering online the first time can be a little confusing so if you have any problems or are unsure of any aspects of the ordering process please contact us and we'll try to help you out.

I absolutely love the "islandhopping" idea of combining sailing and biking!

We "ran into" their ship in Trogir last year in August and it was so cool. they moored on the riva, had the morning off, and in the afternoon the guests got on their bikes and went along the coast on the riviera.

I was looking at their prices for this year, I am considering going with my family and our friends. it's great to for the kids as they will have company and the parents get to mingle with the other parents, so everyone is happy ;-)

We want to sail from Split to Dubrovnik (one way) in early September - but dont have 7 days to do it. Is it comfortable to do it in 5? We can't necessarily leave on a Saturday though. And we are not sailors!

We are 4 couples from India in early 40's want a relaxed 7 days sailing from Split-Split towards south Dalmatia etc (also we would love to bike/kayak/paraglide during the sailing at various island whereever possible) i.e Vis-Hvar-Korcula-mljet(if possible). This would be our first sailing experience and we would prefer a reasonably priced Catamaran with a english speaking skipper and cook (we had zeroed in on Nautitech-40 with 4 cabins+2 additional single cabins for skipper/cook or ,Lavezzi open to other catamarans too ).Our journey dates are from 5th May 2012-12th May 2012 or if possible from 12th May -19th May 2012 criterion is which ever 7 days give us better deals. We have a fair idea of prices by going through various croatia based sailing web sites and would request you a competitive quote. Also if we provision from Jamyatchsupply hopefully it can deliver our order at Split marina or Kastella free of drop charges.Post our sailing trip we intend to stay 2 nights at HVar(Palmizana) then 2/3 nights at Dubrovnik near walking distance from Old city(both places in self serviced villas/apartments).

Last would the water be Ok for swimming i.e not cold enough during our sailing dates
Thanks and Regards
Rituparn
